About Me:

NickSetzerCOLOR_pp_edited.png

First and foremost, I am a child of God.

Born and raised in Charleston, SC, you could often find me playing baseball in the dirt lots nearby or fishing tidal creeks where dolphins and alligators surface. But when not playing in God's creation you would find me in the church.

Though thoroughly Trinitarian, I find the cornerstone of my faith to be my relationship with Jesus Christ.

I am in awe of the incarnation and forever grateful for my adoption into the Body of Christ.

I am guided by the teachings of Jesus.

I desire to be Christ’s disciple with all my heart and because I am (like all people) imperfect, I am thoroughly undone by the power of God’s grace in Jesus and forever grateful.

Rooted in these beliefs, my call to ministry is to be a witness to Christ’s redeeming love and an Ambassador

of the Kingdom of God of which Jesus loved to speak.

Equipping

Whether staff or volunteer, we are on a faith journey together.  None of us have the exact same faith, gifts, resources, or talents.  But, as Presbyterians we teach “the priesthood of all believers,” and that we are all called to the work of the various ministries of the church.

My goal as a pastor is to help all generations to find ways to minister that puts their faith, gifts, and talents into action.
